B&D Welcomes Six New Associates

Top-ranked environmental law and litigation firm Beveridge & Diamond continues to grow this year. In the third quarter of 2022, the firm added six new associates and law clerks practicing in our Austin, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, offices. Clirae joined B&D’s DC office after working as a summer associate for the past two summers. She supports clients across industry sectors in a variety of matters relating to corporate social responsibility, supply chains, and product stewardship. Her work involves tracking federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety laws to keep clients apprised of changes in their responsibilities. While pursuing her J.D., Clirae was a student attorney with the Georgetown Environmental Law and Justice Clinic. She also worked as a legal extern for the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Liz advises clients on litigation and regulatory issues with a focus on natural resources, agriculture, and environmental justice. She helps clients navigate issues arising under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other state and federal natural resource laws. While working toward her J.D. at the University of Maryland Law, Liz was a student attorney at the environmental law clinic. She was also a B&D summer associate in 2021.

Claire joined B&D’s San Francisco office in August after completing her LL.M. at Pace University. She helps clients with a spectrum of environmental litigation and regulatory issues arising under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), California Environmental Quality Act, and New York's State Environmental Quality Review Act. Claire also counsels clients on environmental justice and plastics matters.

Brett’s science background as a freshwater ecologist gives him unique insight into managing technical experts, data analysis, and navigating environmental permitting challenges. He joined B&D in August after working as an associate at a law firm in Charlotte, NC. Brett counsels clients on numerous regulatory enforcement disputes related to alleged violations of the Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Clean Water Act.

Graham focuses his practice on litigation and regulatory matters involving water resources. He helps clients navigate litigation in citizen suits, class actions, and enforcement resolutions. Graham joined B&D in September after working as a B&D summer associate in 2021. In law school, Graham was the Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Environmental Law Journal, a Student Attorney for the Texas Environmental Law Clinic, and interned for the Environmental Defense Fund and a Federal District Judge in Austin.

Amanda’s practice focuses on a diverse mix of environmental regulatory law and litigation. She helps clients navigate issues arising under CERCLA, NEPA, and the Endangered Species Act. She also has experience working with environmental justice, extended producer responsibility, and climate change matters. Prior to joining B&D as a summer associate in 2021, Amanda externed as a Law Clerk for the Natural Resources Section at the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division.
