Steve Jawetz and Roy Prather Presenting IEL Webinar on COVID-Related Delays or Disruption to U.S. Remediation Work

B&D Principals Steve Jawetz (Washington, DC) and Roy Prather (Baltimore, MD) will co-present an Institute for Energy Law (IEL) webinar, "COVID-Related Delays or Disruption to U.S. Remediation Work: Immediate Actions and Future Planning." The program will take place on Tuesday, September 1 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Unexcused delays in Superfund or other required remediation work can result in significant civil or stipulated penalties and adversely affect company relationships with regulatory agencies. But force majeure provisions, agency guidelines, and practical approaches are available to cope with these kinds of COVID-related delays. In this session, the speakers will help guide attendees through the key issues and available tools to resolve these problems and minimize risks to your company. They will also provide tips on how to plan for future disruptions that may result in delays of required remediation work.
