Eric Christensen to Present Briefing on Clean Energy Siting and Permitting for Washington State Department of Commerce

Beveridge & Diamond recently completed a comprehensive evaluation of permitting processes in the State of Washington, which examines existing processes and recommends a comprehensive set of reforms. The report was prepared for the Washington State Department of Commerce in response to the Legislature’s mandate for an external and independent evaluation of state agency siting and permitting processes in light of broadly-held concerns that current permitting processes are incompatible with the need to rapidly expand renewable energy and other carbon-free infrastructure to meet Washington’s goal of decarbonizing its economy by mid-century. The report was recently provided to the Legislature and is intended to serve as the starting point for permitting reform legislation.

On July 30, Principal Eric Christensen (Seattle) will present an informative webinar, "Briefing on Clean Energy Siting and Permitting Evaluation," summarizing the findings and recommendations from this evaluation.
