Parker Moore Quoted in Bloomberg BNA on What Attorneys Are Watching Out for in 2018

Principal Parker Moore (Washington, DC) was quoted in a December 26 article in Bloomberg BNA titled "What Environmental Attorneys Are Watching Out for in 2018." The article focuses on what the new year may bring for environmental law. Of the six attorneys interviewed, Parker focused on endangered pollinators and the impacts that may have on various industries.

Parker stated, "it’s hard to think of a more important [endangered species] issue than the upcoming consideration of potential listing decisions for several pollinator species with extensive ranges…. Every industry would be affected.” The steady decline in the numbers of pollinating insects has placed a few species in danger of landing on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's endangered list, which would have huge ramifications according to Parker. Since the habitat range covers the entire continental U.S. the listing could affect farmers directly through things such as restrictions on certain insecticides.
