New York Principals Dan Krainin and Mackenzie Schoonmaker Appointed as State Bar Committee Co-Chairs
New York Office Principals Dan Krainin and Mackenzie Schoonmaker have been appointed as Committee Co-Chairs and Executive Committee members of the New York State Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section.
Mr. Krainin will serve as Co-Chair of the Section’s Toxic Torts Committee and Ms. Schoonmaker will serve as Co-Chair of the Pesticides Committee.
Mr. Krainin’s practice focuses on toxic tort and product liability litigation. He previously served as Chair of the American Bar Association Section on Environment, Energy and Resources Committee on Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts. He currently serves as a member of the Environmental Law Institute’s Leadership Council and Editor of the Firm’s Toxic Tort and Product Liability quarterly newsletter.
Ms. Schoonmaker’s practice includes both litigation and regulatory matters arising under the federal pesticides statute, FIFRA, the Clean Water Act, and related environmental laws. Ms. Schoonmaker is a founding member and previous Chair of the National Association of Women Lawyers Energy & Environmental Affinity Group. Ms. Schoonmaker currently serves as a member of the New York City Bar’s Environmental Committee.
