Anthony’s practice focuses on general environmental litigation and automotive regulatory compliance.
For the past two years, his experience has been extensively involved in the Department of Justice-appointed Independent Corporate Compliance Monitor and Audit matter in connection with the Volkswagen AG diesel emissions proceedings. During this experience, Anthony has gained tremendous insight into complex corporate compliance management systems and the automotive product development process, including both domestic and international vehicle emissions certification regimes.
His experience also includes representing clients at different contaminated properties and remediation matters under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (Superfund), similar state statutes, and toxic tort/product liability claims. Further, he has experience with data compensation arbitration matters under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) as well.
Anthony also is very active in pro bono matters, which has included successfully securing asylum status for a gay immigrant fleeing persecution and drafting estate documents.
During his time at Pace Law School, Anthony served as a judicial intern for Judge Patty Shwartz in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and as a law clerk in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. Anthony also served as an environmental advisor to the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York. In addition, he served as a legal intern at the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic, where he assisted in and filed a federal appellate brief challenging an EPA rulemaking under the Clean Water Act. He also interned at the Land Use Law Center, served as a research assistant in the Pace University Center for Environmental Legal Studies, and led recitation sessions as a Dean’s Scholar for first-year law students in several subjects of the first-year curriculum. Furthermore, he interned for a boutique law firm in New York specializing in trusts, wills, estates, and probate and consumer litigation. Anthony also served as the Managing Editor of Pace Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude and received the ALI-CLE Scholarship and Leadership Award and the Michael I. Ginsberg Memorial Scholarship Award.
Prior to law school, Anthony worked as a chemical analyst in the elemental analysis section of a global company that provides testing and inspection services for the petroleum, refining, and petrochemical industries.
