Alyse Constantinide Reflects on her Legal Career in Suffolk University Magazine

B&D Principal Alyse Constantinide was featured in the spring edition of Suffolk University Magazine in an article titled “The People’s Prosecutor.” The article discussed Alyse’s career since graduating from Suffolk University’s Law School in 2010.

Before joining B&D in the fall of 2021, Alyse was a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). On January 6, 2021, Alyse was assigned to serve as an advisor to D.C. police leadership. She was on Capitol Hill as the insurrection began and was teargassed as the Capitol was invaded. The following day, on January 7, Alyse arraigned the first defendants to be charged in the January 6 insurrection.

“That first time when you stand up in court, say your name, and realize you’re standing on behalf of the United States—that’s a really powerful moment,” says Alyse.

Before joining DOJ in 2014, Alyse started a non-profit that paired attorneys that were seeking employment with low-income individuals in need of legal assistance.

The article proceeds to discuss Alyse’s transition to private practice. At B&D, Alyse assists clients with compliance, enforcement, internal investigations, and white-collar matters. She is one of the co-chairs of B&D’s Environmental Crimes and White Collar practice group.
