Ben Wilson Receives NBA Presidential Award

On August 8, the National Bar Association (NBA) honored Chairman Ben Wilson (Washington, DC) with their 2018-2019 Presidential Award for exemplary service, hard work, and dedication to the NBA.

The award follows their successful 94th Annual Convention & Exhibits that took place from July 20 to 26 in New York, at which Ben, who serves as Chair of NBA's Energy, Environment, and Public Utilities Section, joined a discussion titled "Brand Development Management/Reputation – The Good, the Bad, the Ugly." B&D is a longtime sponsor of the event and organizes the Annual Energy Forum that takes place during the convention each year.

Ben established the African American General Counsel and Managing Partner Network, which meets every year at the Annual Convention, in 2012 with the goal of addressing diversity in the legal profession. He also founded the Diverse Partners Network in 2008.

The NBA was founded in 1925 and is the nation's oldest and largest national network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of approximately 65,000 lawyers, judges, law professors, and law students.
