Nicole Weinstein and Jose Almanzar Selected to Participate in Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Programs for 2021

Beveridge & Diamond Principal Nicole Weinstein (New York, NY) has been selected to participate in the 2021 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows Program. Inaugurated in 2011, the LCLD Fellows Program is an ambitious, highly-structured mentoring program that is designed to increase diversity at the leadership level of the nation’s law firms and corporate legal departments. Nicole focuses her practice on insurance recovery and environmental litigation and also serves as co-chair for the firm’s Insurance Coverage practice group and Superfund, Site Remediation, Natural Resource Damages practice group.

Associate Jose Almanzar (New York, NY) has been selected as a member of the 2021 class of Pathfinders, a program founded by the LCLD in 2015 to train diverse, high-potential attorneys at LCLD Member organizations in critical career development strategies including programming on leadership and network development. According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., “The LCLD Pathfinder Program offers participants intensive training, online experiential learning, and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows and Alumni in small group gatherings. We believe it’s a program that can enhance a person’s career.” Jose focuses his practice on environmental due diligence counseling for business and real estate transactions, while maintaining a diverse litigation and regulatory case load.

“We congratulate Nicole and Jose on their selection to the LCLD Fellows and Pathfinders programs,” said Roy Prather, the chair of B&D’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. “They are both leaders not only in B&D, but in the legal profession. We know they will contribute much and benefit greatly through their participation in the LCLD programs.”
