B&D Elects Four New Principals

We proudly congratulate Michael Campinell (Boston), Leah Dundon (Washington, DC), Katrina Krebs (New York), and Anthony Papetti (New York) on their recent election as Principals of the Firm.

Michael Campinell

Mike helps clients clean up contaminated sites, manage their liability, and navigate regulatory and compliance challenges related to their environmental stewardship. His practice focuses on contaminated site remediation, and cost recovery, under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and its Massachusetts counterpart, the Massachusetts Oil and Hazardous Material Release Prevention and Response Act (Ch. 21E). Mike advises groups of potentially responsible parties, project developers, manufacturers, utility companies, and municipalities regarding environmental due diligence, cleanup strategy, cost allocation, and settlement negotiations.

Leah Dundon

Leah’s practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts, contaminated properties, and advising manufacturers, energy companies, and other regulated entities on regulatory matters arising under environmental laws. Leah has handled litigation and regulatory matters arising under the Clean Water Act (CWA); the Clean Air Act; the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA); CERCLA; and state counterparts. She has represented clients before state and federal regulatory agencies in environmental matters, including responsibility for legacy-contaminated properties, pesticide registrations, CWA mitigation programs, and more. Leah also provides counsel on emerging regulatory frameworks and evolving standards around climate risk analysis, disclosures, and ESG reporting obligations. She regularly speaks and publishes on climate risk disclosure and other topics impacting the regulated community.

Katrina Krebs

Katrina represents businesses and trade associations in complex environmental, commercial, and toxic tort litigation and advises clients on environmental permitting and enforcement risk management. She defends class and mass actions, citizen suits, and enforcement actions in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Her experience spans opposing class certification with strong expert and fact evidence, seeking dismissal of nuisance and other tort claims, challenging unreliable expert evidence, advocating for her clients before administrative agencies, and litigating agency approvals for projects.

Anthony Papetti

Anthony’s practice focuses on complex environmental litigation and product regulatory compliance, particularly in the automotive and mobile source industries. For nearly three years, Anthony played a key role in the U.S. Department of Justice-appointed Independent Compliance Monitorship and Auditor matter related to the Volkswagen AG diesel emissions proceedings. He also represents a diverse array of clients in complex environmental litigation. Representative matters include representing clients in contaminated properties and remediation matters under CERCLA and similar state environmental cleanup statutes, as well as toxic tort/product liability claims. Anthony has also represented clients in citizen suits brought under the CWA and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as well as agricultural, chemical, and biotech clients in protecting their data compensation and exclusivity rights under FIFRA.
