Hazard Communication Standard

The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is a key OSHA provision for manufacturers, importers, and users of hazardous chemicals. Every year, it ranks among the top 10 requirements cited in OSHA enforcement actions. The HCS was updated in 2024, and compliance with those updates becomes mandatory in January 2026 and July 2027. During this webinar, the speakers will review the updates alongside the standard’s core provisions.

OSHA’s Heat Standard and Related State Plans

In August 2024, OSHA issued a proposed rule for “Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings.” The proposed standard is not yet finalized, and the latest public comment period (following an informal public hearing in July 2025) closed in October 2025. In this webinar, the speaker will discuss OSHA’s current approach to heat stress, key provisions under the proposed rule, and state-level requirements and proposals. Jessalee will also provide practical guidance on what employers can do now to strengthen heat‑illness prevention efforts, reduce risk, and prepare for potential new obligations.
