B&D Receives MCCA's Bronze Seal Accreditation

B&D is proud to receive Bronze Seal status from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). The MCCA Approved Bronze Seal recognizes the tangible results the B&D has in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) through hiring, retaining, and promoting historically-underrepresented attorneys.

The MCCA Approved framework focuses on three critical areas within law firms and corporate legal departments: leadership accountability, business processes and practices, and human capital diversity metrics. Participating firms must also complete MCCA’s Law Firm Diversity Survey and Corporate Demographic Survey.

“On behalf of B&D, we are honored to receive this recognition from MCCA and greatly appreciate their consideration. We look forward to continuing to learn from our longstanding partnership with MCCA as we aim to improve and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion – both at B&D and across the legal industry.” - Stacey Sublett Halliday, Principal and DE&I Comittee Chair

B&D is a longtime Firm Affiliate Network member of MCCA. Principals Roy Prather and Julius Redd are both recipients of MCCA's Rising Star Award. In 2022, MCCA awarded B&D its George B. Vashon Innovator Award recipient, given to a law firm with fewer than 500 attorneys that “led the way with innovative best practices to assist diverse attorneys.”

B&D values DE&I and strives to demonstrate leadership in these areas within the legal profession. We are Mansfield 5.0 Plus Certified by the Diversity Lab, having participated in the Mansfield Rule since the Mansfield 2.0 pilot. Working together with our clients, we develop, maintain, and participate in a variety of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives involving lawyers and staff firmwide.
