The Legal 500 Names B&D a Top Tier Environmental Regulatory and Litigation Firm for 2022

The Legal 500 ranked Beveridge & Diamond as a top tier firm in the environmental regulatory law category for the eighth consecutive year, and as a leading firm in the environmental litigation category for the thirteenth consecutive year, in its United States edition.

The editorial references B&D’s defense of the City of Newark, NJ in a federal citizen suit under the Safe Drinking Water Act, and its representation of Waste Connections in nuisance class action lawsuits in New York State. The Legal 500 highlights B&D’s longstanding Environmental Justice practice, as well as its cutting-edge climate changeESG, and sustainability work with Fortune 100 Companies.

While The Legal 500 does not rank lawyers and focuses on assessing the overall strength and depth of practice groups, it named John Cruden (Principal, Washington, DC) to its Hall of Fame for both environmental litigation and environmental regulatory law. It also listed Principals Paul Hagen (Washington, DC) and Karen Hansen (Austin) as Leading Lawyers for environmental regulatory law, and Megan Brillault (New York) as a Next Generation Partner for environmental litigation.

In total, The Legal 500’s editorials mentioned 22 B&D attorneys:
